  • Habitat features: lush grassland and woodland, multiple water-pools for cooling, and dense vegetation to mimic tiger’s natural terrain.
  • A dedicated 2.3 km visitor path (for closed vehicles) allows safe viewing while minimizing disturbance to the animals.
  • High security fencing: chain-link fencing of up to 5.5 m in height ensures both visitor safety and habitat integrity.

The Tiger Safari at Nandanvan is a core attraction, offering visitors a rare opportunity to observe India’s iconic big cat — the Royal Bengal Tiger (Panthera tigris tigris) — in a controlled yet natural-feeling habitat. The zone spans an area of approximately 20 hectares (≈ 20.04 ha).

  • Visitors travel in closed vehicles through designated tracks ensuring safety and minimal disturbance.

  • Follow all safari guidelines: remain seated, avoid loud sounds or flash photography, and follow staff instructions.
  • Sightings are not guaranteed, as animals exhibit natural behaviour.
