Spanning a vast green expanse, the Herbivore Safari offers visitors a chance to step into the tranquil world of India’s grazing mammals, far from the typical roar and chase of predators. Nestled within the larger jungle safari at Naya Raipur, this zone invites you to slow down and observe nature’s gentler rhythms.
The Herbivore Safari covers roughly 30.89 ha of well-designed habitat.
The area features lush grassland and woodland, two dedicated water bodies, and five water-channels ensuring a 24×7 supply of drinking water for the animals.
For visitors, a dedicated pathway of about 2.5 km winds through the zone, offering immersive views of the herds grazing and moving naturally.
The safari is secured by chain-link fencing of about 2.6 m height, carefully camouflaged to maintain aesthetics while ensuring safety.
Within this zone you will encounter a rich variety of herbivorous mammals. These animals roam freely in open terrain, allowing you to watch their natural behaviour — grazing, socialising, pausing at water features and feeling truly part of their world. The current collection is approximately 106 individuals in this safari zone.
